Connect a computer that runs a current browser to your TV, open its Screenfolk player URL, and publish an image playlist from the web dashboard. Screenfolk Free covers one screen and up to 60 stored images. Follow the complete setup guide for pairing and testing, or request a tailored Front Range setup. Once uploaded media completes its first sync, local cache playback can carry the saved playlist through a temporary connection problem.

Upload images, arrange a playlist, publish remotely, and check the player connection from one dashboard.
Screenfolk Free includes one Network-supported image-first screen and up to 60 stored images, with no hardware purchase or credit card required.
A SCREEN WITH A JOB
A useful business screen answers the question a customer has right now. A retailer can rotate new arrivals and seasonal pricing. A salon can show services and openings. A gym can promote classes. A venue can publish tonight's schedule. Restaurants can run menus and daypart playlists built around breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late-night service.
Screenfolk keeps those messages in reusable playlists. Update the content in the dashboard instead of remaking the physical sign, swapping a USB drive, or visiting every screen with a laptop.
Feature a product, limited-time offer, service package, or clear price list near the decision point.
Show business hours, check-in steps, pickup directions, wait information, and other practical guidance.
Rotate calendars, workshops, live events, community notices, and reminders without reprinting a poster.
Upload finished menu, service, or rate-card images and schedule the right playlist for the right time.
COST WITHOUT A SALES CALL
The lowest-cost Screenfolk setup uses hardware you already own. Screenfolk Free is $0 for one browser-powered, image-first screen with up to 60 stored images. That is enough to validate the screen, learn which messages matter, and operate a simple image playlist. See the canonical Screenfolk pricing page for Free, DIY Pro, Local Care, and standard setup.
If you want dedicated hardware or hands-on help, request a tailored scope. Standard player and workflow setup starts at $199, Local Care is $49 per location monthly, and displays, dedicated players, mounting, custom creative, and unusual site work are priced separately.
$0 for one image-first screen, up to 60 stored images, remote publishing, offline-ready playback, and basic screen status.
$0 in dedicated player hardware when a suitable laptop, desktop, mini PC, or Chromebook is already available.
$199 starting price for player configuration, pairing, an initial playlist, publishing verification, and staff handoff.
Published paid-beta price of $9.99 per active screen each month for video and premium capabilities as they become available.
BUILT FOR REAL-WORLD WI-FI
A remotely managed sign still needs internet to pair, complete its first sync, receive an update, and report status. Screenfolk is designed so a temporary outage does not have to turn a finished, uploaded-media playlist into a blank screen.
After the first complete sync, uploaded media can play from local cache. That does not make every kind of slide offline: online-only sources still need a live connection, and a new dashboard change cannot reach the player while it is disconnected. Read the full offline digital signage guide before planning for a weak or intermittent network.
Previously synced uploaded images can play from the player’s local cache. Eligible uploaded video can do the same on Pro.
A disconnected player cannot receive a new playlist, content edit, schedule, or pairing instruction.
Remote monitoring needs connectivity, even while the last saved playlist is still moving on the display.
Streaming and other online-only content still requires internet and should not be the only message in an outage-sensitive playlist.
FROM IDEA TO SCREEN
The browser-player path lets you test the idea before deciding whether dedicated hardware is worth it.
Use an HDMI television or the computer’s own display. Decide whether the sign will be landscape or portrait before designing content.
Start with a computer that runs a current browser, or reserve a Screenfolk Player when you want a preconfigured dedicated device.
Add finished images, build an ordered playlist, choose how long each item appears, and assign it to the screen.
Let the first sync finish, confirm the full loop, then test the exact display and network conditions the business will use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Digital signage is a TV or display that shows a managed playlist of menus, promotions, events, prices, hours, and announcements. Screenfolk lets a small business update that playlist from a web dashboard instead of replacing printed signs or carrying a USB drive to the screen.

No. A compatible HDMI television is enough. Use a laptop, desktop, mini PC, or Chromebook that can run a current browser, or ask about the limited Screenfolk hardware founding pilot if you prefer a dedicated player.
Yes, if the computer can run a current browser reliably. Open its dedicated Screenfolk player URL, connect it to the display if needed, enter fullscreen mode, and keep the computer powered on.
Yes. Add media, arrange playlists, and publish changes from the Screenfolk web dashboard. The player needs an internet connection to receive those changes and report its current status.
Uploaded content can continue from the local cache after the first complete sync. Internet is still required for the initial sync, new changes, remote status, and online-only content.
The Free plan includes clearly labeled Screenfolk Network ads within the frequency and playback-share limits accepted at signup. Paid plans are ad-free by default. Optional community channels and compensated revenue-share campaigns remain separate.
Only an explicitly tested Android-based Fire OS model should be used in the Screenfolk founding pilot. Screenfolk does not claim support for every Fire TV Stick, and the 2025 Fire TV Stick 4K Select uses unsupported Vega OS.
